Born in South Africa, with an Irish and French heritage, Anna Jeffreys grew up under the influence of her architect grandfather and gardening-enthusiast grandmother – figures who instilled in her a lifelong passion for historic architecture, repurposed spaces, and the botanical world.

In 1972, Anna moved to the UK. Studying Medieval Church Architecture and Textile Design at A level, followed by a 3-year diploma in ‘Interior and Environmental Design’, at Chelsea College of Art. After Chelsea, she continued to cultivate her passion for architecture, and her love of botanical drawing and painting, which continues to inform her practice today.

Anna began her career in the London showroom of the legendary Jean Monro, where she immersed herself in the world of textiles, wallpaper, and archival prints. Following a transformative journey to India, Anna opened her own interior design outlet on London’s King’s Road.

With over four decades of experience, Anna combines technical expertise, artistic capabilities and skill, and historical awareness in every design, and continues to learn and evolve, broadening her artistic repertoire. Her own design capabilities, further explored during a course offered by the Prince’s Trust – PRIME (the Prince’s Initiative for Mature Enterprise) combined to enable her to launch her first collection of wallpaper designs in 2017.

Her move into fabric and wallpaper design was a natural extension of her creativity. A commission in New York to replicate one of her own wallpaper designs on linen, led to the launch of a complementary fabric collection, marking the beginnings of a new chapter.

Working from her garden studio, she creates collections that reflect her deep connection to nature, classical form, and contemporary life.
